OUR SHACKS

The Shack is based on a modular oak frame. Each bay is about a metre wide so the length of building is determined by the number of bays. Our 'standard' product is a shack of 6 metres (6 bays). The standard width of 3.5 metres combined with a roof pitch of about 40-45 degrees results in a building with a ridge height of 4 metres. This allows the shack to comply with current planning restrictions yet still leaves enough height in the roof space for the sleeping loft.

The shack can be connected to a power supply either permanently, via a 'caravan' style hookup or can be 'off grid'. Site position and conditions will determine which is most appropriate.

The oak frame can be dressed in different materials to create an aesthetic that suits the buildings use and its environment. Wherever possible we source these materials from local suppliers and our timber is bought from British managed woodlands.

We also offer to design and construct an area of covered or exposed decking to adjoin the building. The materials used for this are selected to complement the Shack design.
